Aurlandsfjord in Sognefjord - Part of the Nærøyfjord World Heritage Area |

 On Saturday 10th of June and Monday 12th of June 2006, the Western Norwegian Fjord's incorporation into UNESCOs World Heritage had it's inauguration. Saturday 10th of June was celebrated with a folk festival at Bakka in Nærøyfjord. Monday 12th of June was celebrated in Geirangerfjord at the mountain farm Skageflå and later with a folk festival at Vinjevollen. |

The official inaugurations was done by H.M. Queen Sonja. She was clearly affected during parts of her speech in Nærøyfjord. |

It starts in the morning at Flåm with a boat trip out of Aurlandsfjord and into Nærøyfjord to Bakka. Then there are pictures from the celebration at Bakka and the boat trip back to Flåm.
